After transmigrating into a book, Xie Qi'an discovers that he has been reborn in the body of a frail, sickly beauty. He is also ambushed and provokes the master of the first-level dungeon's ghost story: the bed.
To avoid being hunted by the ghost story's master, Xie Qi'an is forced to embark on a path of staying up all night to "cultivate immortality."
For example, in the school dungeon:
Teammate A: I'll leave you the top bunk. It's safer.
Xie Qi'an: No need. I'll take the bottom bunk.
Teammate B: Do you want the bottom bunk? You can have mine.
Xie Qi'an: No need. I'll sleep on the floor.
Teammate C: Huh? Should I make you a bed on the floor, then?
Xie Qi'an: No need. I'll sit up and stay awake.
His teammates: ???
In ghost story dungeons, whenever someone dies, the ghost story absorbs the victim's energy, and the dungeon's difficulty immediately skyrockets.
Watching the sickly beauty Xie Qi'an stay up all night, his face growing paler by the minute, leaves his teammates utterly distraught.
Bro, we're really afraid you'll drop dead from exhaustion!!!
But they never expected that Xie Qi'an, who is sleep-deprived in every dungeon and looks ready to drop dead at any moment, would keep pulling off outrageous stunts: setting the school on fire, prying open the elevator with a stick...
As his teammates stare in stunned disbelief, Xie Qi'an rubs his temples with one hand, looking unwell, while the other hand rapidly writes down the entire ghost story, carrying them to victory on the spot.
Xie Qi'an: The sooner we clock out, the sooner I can go home and catch up on sleep!

Later, in one dungeon, Xie Qi'an gets carried away and it backfires.
When he wakes from unconsciousness, he finds himself lying on a large bed in a manor.
Xie Qi'an realizes something is wrong and immediately rolls over, trying to escape.
But it's too late. The sheets and curtains surge around him, wrapping around his limbs in an instant and binding him firmly to the bed.
A handsome man appears out of nowhere with a smile. His fingers gently stroke Xie Qi'an's tightly bound wrist, leaving red marks on his pale, delicate skin.
The man's voice is low and flirtatious:
"Darling, are you really so unwilling to see me?"
A physically frail but determined, quick-witted recipient who loves pushing his luck x a gentle, smiling but ruthless ghost story master
