This story is based on real people, but only to a small extent. Most of the characters are based on real people, with only one or two exceptions. Those who aren't based on a single person are composites of several people.
A lot of what happens later is imagined, since life isn't really full of that many wonderful things.
The people are real, but their names aren't. Their surnames are real.
Let me say it again: just like in "Winter's End," I'll change a lot of the school rules! I don't like sticking completely to reality. That would be too boring. The seventeen- and eighteen-year-olds I see should shine brightly, not be constrained by rules and regulations.
Jiang Ziqing and Tang Xingyu first spoke to each other at a desk in their cram school.
A crowd gathered to watch them argue by writing on the desk.
"Why haven't you updated yet?"
"I did!"
"You updated again."
"Screw you. A wind instrument sounds in the distance."
"Where to?"
"To your family grave."
Under the watchful eyes of the students at the desks on either side, Jiang Ziqing thought for two seconds, then added:
"A bolt of lightning strikes, and it catches fire. Call 119, no signal."
He even drew a smiley face just for him.
He never imagined that trading insults with this guy, who was a year older than him, would end up tying their whole lives together.
Theme: A chance encounter, a love that lasts a lifetime at first sight.
