A Showcase of Nonhuman Ailments

You Yutang is a struggling medical student who can't find a job after graduation. In the end, he manages to get a job as a community doctor in a remote little town.

The town lies on a remote western plain, shrouded in white mist all day long. It has only one supermarket and barely any residents.

On the morning he moves in, You Yutang receives his first patient.

A walking corpse, long dead and rotting, staggers toward him. It opens its rotten, bloody mouth and speaks in a voice he can understand:

"Doctor, take a look at my teeth!"

You Yutang: ?

With trembling hands, You Yutang cleans the bits of flesh out from between its teeth. The satisfied zombie smiles comfortably and walks out of the clinic.

He thought it was just a hallucination brought on by all those years of studying himself to the bone as a medical student.

But then the next day, and the day after that... Zombies with food stuck in their teeth, octopus people with sixteen tentacles, painted-skin ghosts whose cosmetic surgery went wrong, indescribable black-mud monsters... You Yutang's business gets busier and busier.

It's just that his patients aren't human :)

At night, the little town is filled with white mist. Things stir faintly within it, enormous creatures drift slowly past, and the cries of women and children rise in the distance.

On the day he arrives, the locals warn You Yutang not to leave home at night. The darkness and thick fog eat people.

You Yutang obediently listens.

Until one day, a bus carrying a group of tourists drives into town.

You Yutang goes outside to water the plants and locks eyes with a handsome young man with blond hair and blue eyes.

At that moment, the other man's thoughts suddenly glide effortlessly into view before You Yutang.

"Is this the evil god doctor in this game?! I heard he mutated every resident of the town into his own contaminant!"

You Yutang: ?

Wait.

Isn't he just an ordinary, impoverished doctor?!
