Qiao Yun is being haunted by a "ghost," and a lecherous one at that. It spends all day whispering crude, vulgar things in his ear, leaving Qiao Yun scared and disgusted.

He's straight, and the one harassing him is a male ghost.

Qiao Yun goes to a Taoist temple in the suburbs and tells the abbot what's been happening. The abbot gives him a peachwood sword and some charms to ward off evil. Before Qiao Yun leaves, he adds, "Believe in science."

Qiao Yun: ...

Qiao Yun takes the sword and charms back to his dorm, ready to catch the ghost. But he fails to catch it and gets reported for engaging in superstition in the dorm. Meanwhile, the ghost says that Qiao Yun looks especially alluring when he's upset.

In utter misery, Qiao Yun gives Lu Tingzhi a hug. To his surprise, the ghost's dirty talk stops, so Qiao Yun starts clinging to Lu Tingzhi.

Lu Tingzhi realizes his new roommate is quite the schemer. To get physical with him, Qiao Yun claims he's been haunted by an annoying ghost and needs to absorb Lu Tingzhi's intelligence to drive it away. And "absorbing his intelligence" means hugging him.

Ghosts don't exist, so Qiao Yun probably likes him. As it happens, Lu Tingzhi likes Qiao Yun too.

Lu Tingzhi boldly confesses to Qiao Yun, but Qiao Yun keeps turning him down. Lu Tingzhi assumes Qiao Yun is just playing hard to get.

But then Qiao Yun, the supposed master of playing hard to get, says he's moving out of the dorm. He also tells Lu Tingzhi that the ghost haunting him is actually a lecherous ghost. He only claimed it was an annoying ghost because being haunted by a lecherous one was too embarrassing.

Lu Tingzhi is baffled. Whether it's an annoying ghost or a lecherous one, ghosts don't exist.

Qiao Yun timidly says, "The lecherous ghost just asked me if my butt was so perky that I could run away. He's threatening me, trying to stop me from moving out."

Lu Tingzhi is suddenly shocked. Those are the very words he had just thought to himself.

That's when Lu Tingzhi realizes that Qiao Yun can hear his thoughts, including his dirty ones.

The reason the lecherous ghost disappears whenever Qiao Yun touches him is that every time Qiao Yun makes physical contact with him, Lu Tingzhi gets so nervous that he stops thinking dirty thoughts.

Lu Tingzhi's expression darkens. As Qiao Yun looks at him fearfully, he thinks one more thing: [Kiss you]

The next second, Qiao Yun cries out in horror, "He's a lecherous ghost who speaks English too!"
