Top: Si Zhen [Zheng Ling] & Bottom: Wen Ziyu [Yu Fu]
Everyone says that what goes around comes around, and Wen Ziyu couldn't agree more.
In his previous life, when his friend lost his head and tried to defy fate for a mortal woman, Wen Ziyu didn't break his friend's legs and stop him in time. As a result, he was forced to take in his friend's orphan. He spent his previous life playing around, only to die by his adopted son's sword. Now that he's been given another chance, he still has to maintain the persona of a little fool.
Others say he's a phoenix perched on a high branch, but he sees himself as a phoenix fallen from its nest. Just as he was getting ready to lie flat, a creditor showed up at his door.
Side couples: Zuisheng & Xingling, Yu Jingqiu & Er Er
Theme: The path we stumble along isn't necessarily the wrong one, as long as we keep the light in our hearts.
