Jiang Xi discovered a portrait in Zhuo Yue's secret chamber. The girl in it looked just like her, wore red, and smiled radiantly.

Zhuo Yue said to her, "I hope you'll smile more often." She wasn't much of a smiler, but when she was with Zhuo Yue, she often smiled. Some of those smiles were sincere, while others came from her fear that Zhuo Yue would find her boring. She immediately asked, "What kind of smile?" Zhuo Yue suddenly brought out a bouquet of flowers from behind her and said, "Like this!" ...She never wore red. So was Jiang Xi just a substitute?

Pride and desire for love tore at her until, one day, she finally snapped.

"Go," she said as she pushed Zhuo Yue out of the secret realm. She didn't want Zhuo Yue to see her bloody and disheveled like this.

"Do you know what I used to break in here?" Zhuo Yue said, her eyes bloodshot. After a pause, she answered her own question: "My heart's blood and my scales. If you don't come out, I'll be buried here with you."

Later, Jiang Xi awkwardly discovered that the person she had supposedly replaced was actually herself...

A beautiful demon dragon shou, cold on the outside and warm on the inside, kind and upright, paired with a ruthless, emotionless, violent mermaid gong who is actually incredibly good at this.

The story focuses mainly on the romance. Because of the protagonist's past-life circumstances, she has exceptionally good fortune, so there isn't much focus on her cultivation journey.

There are many secondary couples, and not every couple's story will necessarily be completed before the main story ends.
