After Transmigrating into a Book, the Protagonist Went from Bottom to Top

A laid-back bottom who gives up when things get tough vs. a gloomy younger ghost-like top (not actually a ghost)

Zhao Yu wakes to a sharp pain in his head, and the unfamiliar memories surging through his mind instantly jolt him awake.

He has transmigrated into a book.

He's become the tragic villain from the story.

The original character is infatuated with the protagonist, Yan Ci. When Yan Ci falls on hard times, he takes him home under the pretense of “keeping a beauty in a golden house.”

In reality, he uses underhanded methods to imprison and torment him, until the protagonist grows strong enough to team up with others and bring him down.

And now, it's the first day he's brought Yan Ci home. The young man sits in the corner of the sofa, his old T-shirt washed pale. His lips are pressed tightly together, and his whole being is guarded and gloomy.

Thinking of the original character's tragic ending, Zhao Yu shudders. He decides to treat the protagonist well, then, once his wings are strong enough, quietly slip away.

Yan Ci lowers his eyes, his voice hoarse. “I want to go to school.”

Zhao Yu waves a hand grandly. “Go! I'll get the paperwork done tomorrow!”

Yan Ci returns with his textbooks, fingers gripping them until they turn white. “I want to study acting.”

Zhao Yu waves a hand grandly. “Do it! Pick whichever teacher you want!”

Late at night, Zhao Yu is curled up on the sofa playing video games when Yan Ci suddenly crouches in front of him, his voice hoarse. “I want to top Zhao Yu.”

Zhao Yu waves a hand grandly. “Go ahead! ... Huh?”

Wait, what did he say?
