On her first day after transferring to Yuancheng, Cheng Li gets lost.
She turns into a long, dark alley, where a young man is fighting with a hooligan.
After gaining the upper hand, the young man leans against the wall and skillfully lights a cigarette.
He turns to the girl who has watched the whole thing and deliberately flashes a wicked grin. “Aren't you scared?”
Not scared, because he's not that kind of person.
There's a clean, gentle quality to him, the air of a boy untouched by the world.
Even though this is the first time she's seen him, Cheng Li thinks to herself.
Her instincts have always been right.

On her first day at school, Cheng Li picks up her new uniform and passes the sports field, where the monthly exam awards ceremony is underway.
“Student Xie Wenzhuo has ranked first in the province for three years in a row,” the principal announces proudly into the microphone.
The young man is completely different from the boy she saw that day, with neat black hair, a tidy uniform, and cool, distant eyes.
So his name is Xie Wenzhuo.
The young man on the stage suddenly turns around, and Cheng Li accidentally meets his gaze.
Her heart pounds wildly.
