Jinyi was a koi spirit who had been cultivating for hundreds of years. One day, someone suddenly fished her out and took her to a flower, bird, and fish market to sell.
Jinyi was furious and spent every day lashing her tail against the fish tank. But the shop had security cameras, and she didn't want the owner to send her off to be dissected. So she had no choice but to sulk in the tank and wait for someone to buy her, then look for a chance to escape.
Sun Mengqiu was a pet blogger. After hitting a slump lately, she took a friend's advice and decided to raise some koi for good luck. Unfortunately, every batch of koi she bought died. Looking at the two lively cats by her feet, Sun Mengqiu suspected that any fish she raised was doomed to die.
After going to the flower, bird, and fish market for several days in a row, Jinyi had grown familiar with Sun Mengqiu. Able to understand human speech, Jinyi knew that this human had killed a lot of her kind!
Looking at Jinyi, the biggest fish in the tank, who was trying hard to hide herself, Sun Mengqiu had a sudden flash of inspiration and bought her.
Jinyi howled in despair, "Help! I don't want to die yet!"
A few days later, Sun Mengqiu got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and suddenly heard someone muttering in the living room.
"Dummy, don't you know fish need oxygen too? There's a pump, but you didn't turn it on."
Sun Mengqiu broke into a cold sweat. Only then did she realize that the koi she'd just bought had turned into a person.
P.S. Just a few late-night ideas. The blurb may still change.
