In the middle and late stages of the apocalypse, humans and zombies have reached a delicate balance. Sheng Ye is the lowest-ranking little zombie. He has to keep to the walls wherever he goes, and going hungry is part of everyday life.
Then one day, he discovers that the apocalypse has changed. There are no more high-ranking zombies or powerful ability users. Most importantly, food he can catch is running all over the place. He won't have to go hungry anymore!
After cautiously testing the waters in a small village for several days, the little zombie with the cold little face starts drooling.
But on a dark, windy night, just as he's about to make his move, a man grabs him by the scruff of his neck, aghast. "Whose kid is this? Nobody looking after you? No manners at all! You want to bite a human before washing their neck? How filthy!"
Feeling Zu Sang's formidable presence, the expressionless little zombie instinctively puts his hands over his head and admits defeat. Your prey. Won't bite. Please don't hit me.

Count Zu Sang is an unusual vampire. One day, he picks up a scrawny fellow of his own kind. The boy is pretty and well-behaved, looking like a pitiful little thing who has suffered so much. After silently scolding the little fellow's guardian, he carries the skinny, pitiful creature back to his castle.
Dinner time.
Fresh blood is placed on the table. He gives a slight nod. "Eat."
Sheng Ye: ...
The little zombie slaps the table. "I want meat!"
The words don't make it out. He sees Zu Sang's blood-red eyes turned toward him.
Sheng Ye chokes back his words, picks up the cup, and obediently drains it. Stammering, he says, "Smells good. Tastes good. QAQ"
