My Life as a Princess Consort [Dream of the Red Chamber + Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio]

Blurb: New story in progress: "The Transmigrated Heroine, Genderbent Daiyu." Blurb at the bottom. Yaoguang was an office drone in her previous life. After watching too many short videos, she had longed for a pastoral life. Then one day she transmigrated and truly became a peasant girl in ancient times. Only then did she learn what it meant to "steam in the heat of the earth, with the blazing sun scorching your back." The ancients hadn't lied. She went to great lengths to find herself a promising young man, only for him to rise in status overnight, climb into a powerful family, and shamelessly try to take her as a concubine. Fortunately, the elders and family members in her life this time were no pushovers. They made her former fiance suffer the consequences of his own actions. On the night everything was finally settled, her grandmother, a professional medium, used the stars to divine her destined match. The match would appear in six months, in the capital. Just as her parents were hesitating over whether to take her to the capital, the emperor's selection envoy arrived in her hometown of Shangyang County... Coming soon: After reading yet another Red Chamber story about the Lin family, An Rusu couldn't help commenting on the ending, where Miss Lin married into a noble family and had a house full of children and grandchildren: "Instead of giving Miss Lin brothers, why not just make Daiyu male?" With brothers, Daiyu would be a married woman, and even a generous dowry would be limited. Wouldn't the Lin family's vast fortune end up in someone else's hands anyway? An Rusu woke up one morning after transmigrating into a refined young lady from a family of scholars, with a fiance named Lin Daiyu... P.S. Lin Daiyu is the only Red Chamber character whose gender is changed. The heroine is a modern university student and a true fan of Miss Lin. Theme: If you don't try, how will you know it won't work?
