Her parents' marriage had set a wonderful example, so less than a year after graduating from university, she happily accepted Zhuang Siyuan's proposal.
At the time, his career was taking off, and she was so blinded by the sweetness of their life together that she stopped entering the workforce and facing life's trials.

He joined the Go club, but every Friday he didn't play. He just stood in the clubroom and looked out the window.
Once in a while, if he was lucky, he would see that woman.
In his senior year, with graduation approaching, his father dragged him into entrepreneurship to toughen him up, and Chen Zui lost that unbreakable weekly ritual.
At a drinking party, he met a new business partner, Zhuang Siyuan, who was smooth and cautious. His father told him to learn as much as he could from him.
Chen Zui was very obedient.
He put aside his usual airs and spoke with him earnestly.
Zhuang Siyuan was happy that the two of them were growing closer and could talk about anything.
When he learned that Zhuang Siyuan had one woman at home and another on the side, Chen Zui simply played along with the polite small talk.
Until one day, Zhuang Siyuan introduced him to his wife.
The woman stood opposite him, wearing a strained smile. Her gaze fell on Zhuang Siyuan's hand around her waist, and there was a trace of disgust in her eyes.
In situations like this, adults in this world were supposed to keep quiet.
But...
Her delicate figure sat on the black velvet sofa he'd carefully chosen for his office. When she looked up at him, tiny glimmers of tears shone in her eyes.
