But I Don't Want to Save You

[After Giving Up on Winning Them Over, They All Came Looking for Me]

After Yu Shu awakened to her own consciousness, she learned that she was the foil to the beloved heroine of a xianxia novel.

In the book, she was a dull, uninteresting little medicine immortal, while the heroine was lively and charming, a ray of sunshine in the lives of every male lead.

No wonder...

No wonder the injured white fox she had picked up at the foot of the mountain, and carefully tended every day, still spoke coldly to her and acted unbearably arrogant.

It had all been leading up to the day it would obey the heroine without question and become her mount.

And her mute husband, with whom she had lived in mutual respect for a year since their marriage, was actually a remnant soul of the Divine Lord of the Wild Sea. He had stayed by her side because he wanted to use her as a vessel and find suitable spirit herbs for the heroine.

She had deeply respected the lingering dream-image of the unfamiliar young lord in the medicine scroll, even using what little spiritual power she had to sustain his consciousness.

She never expected that after their time as master and disciple, the first thing the young lord would do upon leaving the mountain was take the heroine as his sole disciple.

Even the snowy pool atop the mountain, where she washed up and talked to herself, imprisoned the book's violent, world-destroying villain. The heroine was the savior who would free him, while she was a noisy woman who disturbed his peace and annoyed him so much he nearly strangled her.

There were many more patients like these...

Yu Shu: "..."

Fine. You all think you're so high and mighty.

If everything she did only made her a clown, then she might as well give up.

After learning the plot, Yu Shu no longer wanted to save any of them. She faked her death, went into hiding under a new name and disguise, and joined the Spirit Medicine Sect as a novice disciple, focusing wholeheartedly on her career.

But these patients gradually came looking for her...

Reading Guide:

1. Not your typical crematorium story, with a multi-person love rivalry.

2. Shu Shu is rather slow to catch on when it comes to romance, so there will be plenty of open and covert rivalry between the men, all of which goes unnoticed by her.
