Ruling the World with the Saintly System (Infrastructure Building)

After transmigrating into the body of a sickly young lady in ancient times, Ying Yan finds herself in the midst of a chaotic age, bound to a golden finger that's a System dedicated to rewarding her for doing good deeds.

Ying Yan says, "The System believes good people are rewarded. Since I can get rewards for it, I might as well be a saint and bring light to the world."

At the end of a dynasty, the land is in chaos. Warlords rise up with armies, each setting their sights on the throne.

When Ying Yan's reputation begins to spread, the warlords busy fighting for territory pay no attention to the young woman famed for her benevolence.

After all, she's a woman. Throughout history, how many rulers who built their reputations on being virtuous and kind have not ended up falling flat? They don't even need to deal with her. The people whose hearts she hopes to win will turn against her and leave her in pieces.

And yet...

When floods of refugees arrive, Ying Yan opens the city gates and takes them all in.

During a famine, Ying Yan opens the granaries and ensures that everyone under her rule has food to eat.

When the warlords join forces to build waterworks for the greater good, Ying Yan doesn't conscript laborers. She hires them and pays their wages.

Then one year, a plague breaks out, and countless people die. The famous physicians of the land shake their heads and sigh. The warlords think Ying Yan's reputation is finally bound to crumble. Instead, she not only leads her people in making medicine, but also tries it on herself first.

The warlords: "You really care more about your reputation than your life, don't you? :)"

A short scene.

One day, Ying Yan captures a rival warlord who is also fighting to claim the throne.

When spies from the other warlords report that she's going to execute him, those who have long wanted to tear off Ying Yan's mask of benevolence are thrilled. She's going to kill someone! Finally, she can't keep up that saintly facade!

But when the people watch the executioner carry out the sentence, they say, "My lady is a living bodhisattva sent down from heaven to save us from suffering! If the bodhisattva has no choice but to kill someone, then her victim must have been truly wicked!"

The warlords: "???"

Ying Yan, you have got to be kidding!
