Until she met Chi Yan.

But Chi Yan refused to be controlled and was cold and antisocial.

She thought she'd be trapped forever in a cycle of falling in love from afar and giving up.

Then Ji Qingmo came along and threw everything into disarray.

From then on, the feelings looping through her mind were no longer waves of affection that ebbed and flowed, but thoughts like:

"She's so clingy and noisy, and she wants so much."

"...But I can't seem to stop liking her."

Her rules and order were shattered.

She didn't like being interrupted while painting, but Ji Qingmo could do it.

She didn't like disturbances in a quiet space, but Ji Qingmo could make them.

She didn't like an overly flashy style, but if it was Ji Qingmo...

That was fine.

Then one day, Chi Yan, who always brought her own lunch, made a bento for Ji Qingmo for the first time.

Their friends, who'd been watching the whole time, were horrified:

Oh no, we have to get the demon out of Chi Yan!
