I Use Microtransactions to Build My Mafia Company

Suzuki Akito played an idle management and development game called Pocket Company Story. The game began in Yokohama, where players could establish a company, expand their influence, and train employees. From the start, Suzuki Akito really did want to establish a seafood company. But for some reason, this stupid game was surrounded by enemies! After being forced to lose both his money and his people, the genuine rich second-generation heir, eldest son of the Suzuki Group, Suzuki Akito, angrily spent 6,480 yuan in the game! Get those weapons equipped! Build up that tech tree! Train those employees! He would develop his company into a full-fledged armed force. After spending who knew how much money, the world finally settled down. Only then could he start training his own employees: [The bright young Dazai has joined your company] [The leader of the ‘Sheep’ is a promising talent. Recruit him?] [The renowned detective Ranpo has exceptional abilities. Would you like to recruit him?] [Perhaps poaching someone from the detective agency next door would be a good idea] Suzuki Akito: Why is Dazai’s work ethic so low? No good. Get your butt into training. Looks like Chuuya has a high combat rating. I’ll assign all the external combat missions to him. Huh? Rintaro wants to apply to become the company boss? Since you’re talented in both intelligence and combat, approved. The third-generation boss is so old, I’ll kick him out myself! Furiously tapping the screen, poking and poking, Suzuki Akito watched the little characters on-screen looking utterly wronged and grinned like a demon. That’s right, hurry up and get to work! Some time later Suzuki Akito: My seafood company is famous everywhere by now, right? System: That’s right, your mafia company has taken over all of Yokohama! Suzuki Akito: ? * There’s a well-known rumor about the Port Mafia. Their current boss is only a puppet, with a mysterious and powerful boss pulling the strings behind the scenes. No one has ever seen him, but everyone has received orders that drift down from the sky, or watched a package appear before their eyes in the blink of an eye. And if he gives you an order and you don’t get to work right away, you’ll feel someone grabbing you by the collar, lifting you into the air and carrying you uncontrollably to the mission site. One bandaged executive has a lot to say about that. Another, a diligent executive in a hat, turns bright red because he’s always receiving mysterious deliveries from the boss: roses, hearts, and other expensive gifts. Every member of the Port Mafia longs to meet this mysterious boss! Suzuki Akito was having the time of his life playing the game. Poaching people, capturing labor, swallowing up other factions... He was getting all kinds of creative with it. Then, just as he became the rising new star of Beika City thanks to this game, he got caught up in trouble with the Black Organization and couldn’t get out. And then, every member of a certain Yokohama mafia organization suddenly appeared before him and knelt on one knee. “Boss, we’ve come to welcome you!” Staring at the dumbfounded members of both the Black and Red sides, Suzuki Akito: ...??? Wait, how did the game become reality?! A preview of my next original novel: My Roommates Are All Scheming, and I Only Found Out After Reading Their Minds [Everyone dotes on the protagonist + all roommates are big-shot villains + mind reading] Gu Xun is the only student without an ability to receive a special admission to the Empire’s Academy of Esper Powers. On his first day, Gu Xun expects the whole school to look down on him. But after seeing his poor, pitiful roommates, he can’t help feeling sorry for them. Roommate A: gloomy and antisocial. Roommate B: extremely insecure. Roommate C: compulsive liar with delusions of grandeur. Gu Xun: ...They’ve got it worse than I do. He immediately decides to get on good terms with them. One day, Gu Xun suddenly awakens a mind-reading ability. When he hears what everyone is thinking, he discovers that his roommates aren’t quite what he imagined... Roommate A is quiet and seems antisocial. Gu Xun often strikes up conversations with him, helping him feel comfortable speaking. A’s thoughts: I usually assassinate people who talk this much, but he’s kind of interesting. I’ll give him a little longer. Roommate B dresses dowdily and never shows his real face, seeming extremely insecure. Gu Xun goes out of his way to compliment and praise him, hoping to build up his confidence. B’s thoughts: As expected of me. Even after going straight, I still have fans. Maybe I should return to the scene and steal a jewel for him? Roommate C is flamboyant and often spouts nonsense, seemingly delusional. Gu Xun can only pretend to be interested and listen, so he won’t feel too hurt by being ignored. C’s thoughts: It’s rare to meet someone so interested in my adventures as a space pirate. Maybe I should take him aboard my spaceship for a spin? Gu Xun: ...They’re all big-shot villains?! Since their thoughts are so terrifying, the sunny, cheerful, brilliant straight-A student, roommate D, seems the most ordinary of all: Assassin? Phantom thief? Space pirate? Tch, boring. The only sane one here! The big shots all conceal their identities and live low-key lives, completely unaware that the pirate, assassin, or phantom thief they’ve accidentally made enemies with and want to eliminate... is actually in their dorm!! Only Gu Xun sees the whole picture. Gu Xun is suddenly overwhelmed by a sense of responsibility: So the key to keeping the peace is in my hands. I! Must protect this secret and get everyone to a happy ending where they’re all friends! * After countless struggles, Gu Xun finally becomes good friends with all his roommates and successfully keeps their true identities a secret. His mind-reading ability upgrades again. Using its new favorability meter, Gu Xun checks the dorm and sees a favorability score of 100 over each of their heads. He is deeply relieved. But then, among all those scores of 100, he suddenly spots someone whose favorability is under 20... Gu Xun: ??? Where did this traitor come from? Only then does he realize that roommate D, who seemed the most normal, is actually the most dangerous villain of all! Even worse, roommate D’s goal is to kill him! Gu Xun: ... Is there still time to win him over? Theme: Be self-reliant and persevering, build and develop, and face challenges with courage!
