The Boy in the Horror Videotape

Every night, I enter a banned, bloody horror videotape.

An abandoned school building, severed limbs, blood, entrails, and heaps of minced flesh.

A deathly pale boy, bony fingers, a horrifying smile.

Chen Shiyi came across a videotape by chance. They say it has something to do with that mysteriously abandoned haunted school building.

"Get caught playing hide-and-seek, and you die."

"I'm the monster."

"Want to hear my story?"

The year the college entrance exams ended, Chen Shiyi was in a car accident and lost her memories of high school. But it didn't matter. If she'd forgotten, then so be it.

There was a line of neat handwriting in her yearbook, stained with blood.

They say that boy died right after the college entrance exams.

She had never really known him. From vague descriptions, she knew only that he was a loner who sometimes fed the stray cats by the roadside.
