Transmigrated as the Younger Brother of the Tumu Fortress War Hero

"At first, I thought my brother going on a personal campaign wasn't a big deal. Plenty of emperors throughout history have led their armies in person.

Then I figured it made sense for my brother to have a eunuch lead the army. You can't judge a hero by where he comes from;

Later, I thought it didn't matter that my brother lost a battle. Who hasn't lost one?

After that, I thought it was no big deal that my brother and his troops were surrounded. Even Liu Bang, Emperor Gaozu of Han, was besieged at Baideng.

But!!! Brother, tell me this: how did you, an emperor, get captured by the Tatar scum and even personally help them get the city gates opened? Huh?!!!!

Ancestors, why haven't you shown your spirits? Why don't you strike my brother dead with a bolt of lightning!!!!"

It's over, it's over, it's over. I've been forced into the role.

It's over, it's over, it's over. Esen is marching on the capital.

Thank goodness, thank goodness, thank goodness. Aiqing Yu and I held the city.

From The Diary of Zhu Qiyu

As the emperor's only younger brother, Zhu Qiyu always thought he had the script for a winner's life.

That is, until his brother led a campaign in person, was captured, and became the emperor who called for the gates to be opened. Zhu Qiyu was forced into the role and became emperor...
