The Puppy Just Wants Head Pats

1.

Guo Qian, grandson of the Right Chancellor and son of the Minister of Works, was ordered by the emperor to go on a mission to the northern frontier. Before he left, the Crown Princess privately told him that she had a mixed-blood cousin named Gao Zilan. Because of a feud from the previous generation, he had ended up among the Di people at the northern frontier. He was an unlucky, pitiful young royal.

The Crown Princess asked Guo Qian to find this mixed-blood royal while he was there, see how he was doing, and look after him if he needed help.

Guo Qian readily agreed.

2.

Guo Qian arrived at the northern frontier full of confidence. He thought he was so capable that he could handle both his mission and the search without trouble. Reality soon gave him a hard slap in the face.

The first time he crossed the pass into Di territory, a band of Di bandits dragged him onto a horse and carried him off. The locals were so fierce that Guo Qian began to question his entire existence.

The one who snatched him away was a tall, handsome, mixed-blood pup. The first thing he said was a pure and earnest confession: “You're so beautiful. I like you. Will you be my wife?”

Guo Qian: ??? I have a dick.

3.

The mixed-blood pup called himself A Ruoshan. He had land and money, and was tall and handsome, with blue eyes and pale skin.

He had grown up without a father, and though his mother was alive, she was as good as absent. He turned out naive and wild. He was clumsy, and a complete idiot, but undeniably handsome.

Guo Qian was speechless, annoyed, and angry with him.

But whenever Guo Qian got mad, the pup would wrap his arms around his waist and gaze at him imploringly.

“Wifey, I promise I'll behave.”

“So, Wifey, could you reward me with a kiss?”

4.

Half a year later, Guo Qian nervously wrote a letter to the Crown Princess from the northern frontier.

[Dear Crown Princess, I have good news and bad news for you.]

[The good news is that I've found the cousin you've been longing for. Aside from being wild and hard to tame, he's doing fine. I'll look after him whenever I can.]

[The bad news is, I looked after him all the way into bed.]

The Crown Princess, upon receiving the letter: Wow.

A dog-loving, brilliant science-and-engineering nerd, lively bottom × mixed-blood puppy, devoted top

(A lighthearted, sweet romance in the same era as the Xie Qi and Gao Li series.)

(Hehehe.)
