At twenty-three years old, Zhu Cheng has been a professional assassin for fifteen years. He's adorable (cross that out), and stone-faced.
After completing Mission 98, he receives his 99th target: a high school Chinese teacher.
Qi Yuan: ? Why are you so hostile toward Chinese teachers? What did they ever do to you? Did your Chinese teacher publicly embarrass you by reading one of your essays aloud in high school?
Zhu Cheng: No. I never went to high school.
Qi Yuan: (trying to scare him) Twelve years of compulsory education are now universal. Your parents would be breaking the law if they didn't send you to high school!
Zhu Cheng: I don't have parents.
Qi Yuan: (even after waking up in the middle of the night, he has to give himself a good slap)
So, as an excellent assassin with an extra perk that lets him travel through time, how is Zhu Cheng supposed to carry out his plan without anyone noticing?
Step 1--
Date him!
Qi Yuan: Huh?
Zhu Cheng: I have no choice. My boss ordered it.
Qi Yuan: Your boss has some pretty unusual tastes. But whatever, if I get to date you, I wouldn't mind dying. Mmm...
Zhu Cheng: ...
Then what's step two?
Zhu Cheng: There is no step two. I fell for you, so I can't bring myself to do it.
Qi Yuan: Yay!!!
Zhu Cheng: I know you're happy, but don't celebrate just yet. The trouble is still ahead.
[Bright, capable teacher full of positive energy x A socially anxious, gloomy time-traveling assassin who seems innocent but has a dark side]
1. Any theories involving physics or biotechnology should be treated as nonsense. They have no scientific basis, so don't take them seriously.
2. For plot-related reasons, the shou, who is a widower, barely appears.
3. Because of the character settings, readers may disagree about the gong and shou's values.
4. Some of the villains are born bad.
5. Because of the character settings, before meeting the gong, the shou pretended to date many people (meaning he never fell for them and nothing physical happened). Decide for yourself whether that counts as being pure.
6. There are two side couples, but they don't take up much space.
Theme: Above love is wisdom; above wisdom is nature.
