Every city has its own local legends, but one legend is particularly unusual. It may be a mouthful, but it could well be called the legend of legends.
Even Shang Xing, who rarely left home, had heard of this strange legend. She had always assumed it was made up by some rich person with too much time on their hands, until one day she came into contact with the real thing behind the legend: the [Game].
*
There were all sorts of rumors about the [Game], and discussions had even appeared on anonymous forums.
[Did you know? If you win the [Game], you can have any wish granted.]
[Any wish at all. Yes, any wish.]
[After all, you can do anything, from becoming a millionaire overnight to reversing death. That's the [Reward].]
[This sounds so far-fetched, it's almost as if it's real. Didn't they say some rich guy made this up to promote the infinite-flow novel he wrote out of boredom?]
[It really is true. I'm proof. I'm a contestant, a player! I won the chance to have a wish granted. You all know the richest person in M City? That's me!! [selfie.png]]
[Is that photoshopped? Could someone knowledgeable verify it?]
[?! That's the richest person in M City... Wait, isn't this an anonymous forum?! And, richest person, are you sure you're not that rich guy?]
[I'll check. It really is him?! Leaving aside the urban legend, exposing yourself on an anonymous forum takes real guts!]
[Something's off. How did the person above figure that out? This is an anonymous forum!]

At first, Shang Xing didn't believe it. But after she died and came back to life, she began to question whether the [Game] was real. She needed to use it to make her wish come true.
She had been destined to die, but a certain "miracle" brought her back. That "miracle" came at a terrible price: her parents and some of her friends became monsters. They hadn't noticed, but Shang Xing didn't think she could just stand by and do nothing.
So, when a voice sounded in her mind, Le Yao gave her answer.
[A chance to have any wish granted. YES or ON?]
"YES."
The moment she gave her answer, the game of Shang Xing's life set off toward a new goal.
For example:
Experiencing a dance of guns and magic in a small town in the west;
Playing a game of life and death with a murderer hiding among the passengers on a death train;
Becoming an investigator on a mist-shrouded island in a lake and stopping the descent ritual of an evil god;
Hunting monsters that threaten humanity with enchanted weapons in a dense forest;
Soaring through oceans of data in an electronic world;
Experiencing an epic tale alongside gods and heroes in the age of mythology...
P.S. The world includes some Lovecraftian elements, but this is not a traditional Lovecraftian story. Nonhuman characters will appear. The protagonist is not normal.
Theme: The world is so big, and I want to see it.
