Warrior Maid

[Possessive Love, Substitute Romance, Original Blurb Pending Revision]

A martial maid: a maid who knows martial arts.

A maid who always looks disgusted x a mad-dog prince

The first time A Wu saw Ci Yuan, he was fighting a dog over a piece of bread.

The eunuch escorting her said, "This is your master from now on. He is your heaven."

She nodded without expression, but inwardly she was disgusted.

How pathetic.

How could there be a prince this filthy and pathetic within the palace walls?

But for the sake of the man she loved, A Wu accepted her lot. She stayed by Ci Yuan through the changing seasons, helped him leave the Cold Palace, and became an indispensable aide in Prince Min's bid for the throne.

The first time Ci Yuan saw A Wu, he saw the disgust beneath her calm expression.

The eunuch said, "This is the martial maid His Highness Prince Min has given you. You can make her do anything you want."

Ci Yuan nodded, paying no mind to this pawn, who was just like him.

But a maid was certainly useful in the Cold Palace.

She knew martial arts, could cook, could sew, and could warm his bed.

He thought A Wu would always wear that expression.

And yes, she looked exactly the same in bed.

Until one day, Ci Yuan saw her reporting his whereabouts to Prince Min, and realized she could give someone else such a bright smile.

A Wu had always known that she served a wild, unruly dog, but she never imagined that in five years it would scheme for imperial power, kill Prince Min, and seize the throne.

The new emperor ascended the throne.

He wanted to see her kneel before him with that disgusted expression once again, and then let him defile her.
