Her Puppy

Wen Xi was unmoved by both soft and hard tactics, while Chen Yu was soft-hearted but wouldn't give in to force.

After a fierce clash, they each got what they wanted.

At first, Wen Xi only wanted to have some fun. Later, of course, she still only wanted to have some fun. Who could have guessed Chen Yu would take it seriously?

Wen Xi humored him halfheartedly. After all, when a puppy felt wronged, it went "whimper, whimper"; when you patted its head, it wagged its tail; and when it got mad, it bristled and bared its teeth. It was so easy to read its feelings, and it was always loyal.

In the fields, rapeseed flowers covered the hillsides. The two faced each other, and Wen Xi made no attempt to hide her scorn as she said coldly, "Chen Yu, are you my dog? Or is there a leash around your neck that only I hold? I tug on it, and you come running over as fast as you can?"

She toyed with him and teased him, tugging him into an endless push and pull, drawing close and then pulling away, like a heartless villain.

But he seemed genuinely willing to become her dog, coming whenever she called and leaving whenever she sent him away, letting her have anything she wanted.

He hadn't been like this back then. When did it start?
