A dog-training story.
[Her limits are constantly being tested. Is this world going mad? I just want to go home, transmigrated heroine] X [She forgot me. She left. Her body isn't like mine. She's afraid of me. That's okay, we'll become the same... A self-loathing, nonhuman hero who loves her]

This is a world where gods exist.
Civilization has collapsed, and cities have fallen.
Fanatical believers fervently praise their gods.
Standing atop a high platform, the pope gazes toward the deep sea, where the gods were born.
And the beautiful waste Machia is a government plant, sent to infiltrate the church as a double agent.

At night, the transmigrator Machia sits quietly at the desk in her bedroom, writing in her diary in letters that do not belong to this world.
[So-called gods: holy, powerful, calm.
Without desire.
They look down upon all living beings, noble and untouched by the mundane world.
A god's gaze never rests on one place for long, but...]
A damp, sticky softness touches her waist.
Machia puts down her pen and looks at the overly handsome man behind her, dressed in black divine vestments.
She walks over softly and strokes the restless tentacles behind him,
rises onto her toes,
shields his scorching, unrestrained gaze with her hand,
and gently kisses the corner of his lips.
“Darling, would you look at me?”
[A god's gaze never rests on one place for long, but the gods have already fallen.]

Machia's Diary 2:
How to train a puppy
First, establish an adoption relationship:
The puppy is strong, clever, and beautiful, but poorly behaved, absolutely dangerous, and aggressive.
Next, build trust:
The puppy gets lonely easily. When it realizes that you aren't the same kind of creature, it will feel inferior and sad, and may become aggressive because of it. So keep telling it that you love it.
Then, create physical conditioning:
When it's happy, you can pat its head. When you want it to stop, you can step on its shoulder. Repeat this enough times, and it will understand what you mean as soon as you make a gesture.
Once you've done all that, it's basically a puppy that belongs to you alone.
So how do you achieve the final success?
Abandon it.
I think you've learned how.
Reader's Guide:
* The blurb does not endorse animal abuse. Everyone, we do not support abandoning any pets! Please add this to your reading list, loves.
* This is a story about a bad woman surviving in the cracks between worlds, desecrating (training) a god to protect herself.
* To make him seem a little less threatening, the hero first appears as a child.
* This is still only the faintest hint of horror, with a touch of Lovecraftian elements. (In my opinion, Lovecraftian horror isn't about mouths and tentacles, but the collapse and corruption of one's system of understanding and mind.)
* This is an exercise in writing plot, not a purely romance-focused story.
