Synopsis
1
Zhou Ni grew up in an orphanage. After struggling her way into a top-tier university, she was hit by a car on the eve of the first day of term.
When she opened her eyes again, there was only one thought in her mind.
Just my luck...
She thought she'd woken up in a hospital, but after looking around for a while, she realized she seemed to have arrived in the interstellar era.
The first thing Zhou Ni did in her new start was check the original owner's savings.
Not bad. A full 50,000 Federation credits.
At last, she had money. Zhou Ni planned to lounge around for a month or two and explore this interstellar world.
The next day, bills flooded her brain-computer. Her total debt came to 10 million Federation credits.
Zhou Ni's vision went dark. The sky was falling...
Who could have guessed the original owner was also an orphan, with no father to care for her, no mother to love her, and not even anyone to confide in or fall back on?
With no other choice, Zhou Ni returned to her old line of work from her previous world... juggling several jobs!
She fought in underground boxing matches, worked as a bounty hunter, and acted as a middleman... She'd even been a space pirate!
Just as she was about to pay off her debt, one day her brain-computer suddenly received a message.
"Student Zhou Ni, the Academic Affairs Office reminds you that your two-year leave of absence is about to end. The third academic year has begun. Please be sure to report back within one month. Since you did not complete your first two years of study, you will return as a repeat student and resume your studies in the second year. In addition, your tuition for the next academic year, totaling 8 million Federation credits, has been deducted from your student loan credit. Please check your bill."
"Sender: Sai Luo Mi Er Military Academy Academic Affairs Office"
Zhou Ni: ???
What the heck?!
Nobody told her she still had to go back to that lousy school!
And it costs this much for a single year? Why not just rob a bank?!
Now she understood how the original owner had racked up so much debt. It had all gone to Sai Luo Mi Er Military Academy!
Fine, fine. She just wanted to know if she could get back the money for the first two years by dropping out now.
It had come to this. Fate was just unreasonable.
Zhou Ni thought about it all night, imagining every possible way to dodge this enormous debt. Every one of them ended badly.
Gritting her teeth, she took a job. As she shot her target, the man dragged his bloodied, mangled body along and said bitterly,
"You're just an ordinary person. What makes you think you can get away with it?!"
At that moment, inspiration struck Zhou Ni.
"My status as a military academy student. I can kill you without taking any responsibility."

The Federation had six major military academies. Their students were all exceptional talents, carefully cultivated over many years by various powers to serve throughout the Federation's star systems and military districts.
The six major military academies had enormous resources and powerful backing. Their tuition was just as exorbitant. Most students came from the great families and the Federation's core power blocs, with the Federal Military Academy being the strongest of all.
To put their students to the test, the Federation held an all-Federation military academy tournament once every five years. Students took pride in being able to compete. The winning academy earned the right to more military district resources and had to spend the next five years stationed at the Federation's outermost star region, in the district containing the Zerg homeworld, known as the final line of defense for human civilization.
The Federal Military Academy had won first place for thirty years straight. Everyone naturally assumed it would continue to dominate.
Sai Luo Mi Er Military Academy had ranked near the bottom for years. One of its tournament team members was even a repeat student returning after a full two-year leave of absence.
Everyone couldn't help remarking that Sai Luo Mi Er had become more and more ridiculous. It seemed the rumors on the star network were true: its luck had run out.
Zhou Ni cleared every insect beast and monster in her own area. Looking at the heavy haul in her hands, she was quite satisfied, but felt something was still missing.
She'd been a space pirate for so long that the occupational habit of stripping everything bare had gotten a little out of hand.
So she turned her gaze toward the opposing team's beast zone.
From the commentators to the audience, everyone shook their heads and mocked the Sai Lang Sa Er Military Academy roaming player for going alone to loot the enemy's beast zone. It was practically a suicide run.
Opponent's roamer: Looking for death!
Zhou Ni: First kill.
Opponent's duo lane: Perfect timing. Watch me...
Zhou Ni: Triple kill.
Opponent's mid laner: Here to feed us kills?
Zhou Ni: Quadra kill.
Opponent's solo laner: ???
Everyone in the livestream: ???
Every time the commentators were in the middle of analyzing the situation, explaining that they shouldn't rush in and that it was best to hold their ground...
Zhou Ni: Engage!
Everyone at Sai Luo Mi Er Military Academy: Has she lost her mind?!
The next second, their bodies moved before they could think. Follow her!
