In a distant dream, Sha Shu heard someone calling her name.

The voice came from a distant wasteland planet, crossed countless brilliant nebulae, swept over endless yellow plains, and traveled through a dream whose length she could not fathom before reaching her ears. In that instant, she heard the voices of countless familiar people.

A woman said tenderly, “Darling, our child is so little and adorable. Just looking at her means that nothing in this world could ever make me feel unhappy again.”

A man said calmly, “Sha Shu, all worldly splendor lasts no more than a fleeting moment... But amid that splendor, there is one meteor more precious to you than any other. Hold on to it. Don't let it disappear into the gentle night.”

A girl cried out, “Don't leave, Sha Shu. Don't leave me. Don't go into the distant universe, to a place where I can't reach you... Please.”

On the beach, among the rocks and soft sand, she stood barefoot and let the tide of memory wash over her slender ankles.

The golden-haired girl's smile was sorrowful, like the moon. “Please take care of my Reinhard for me, Sha Shu...”

Her red-haired friend smiled quietly, standing off to one side. “My friend, I long to see you happy and free, even though I know I will never be part of that happiness.”

The black-haired... someone... She had almost forgotten what they looked like.

“Your Majesty, do you know? This world is so vast, yet perhaps the only person who can understand the heart of a ‘half-human’ is another ‘half-human’...”

She walked toward the ocean, crossed the boundary between sky and sea, and stepped among the stars, finally falling into a warm, golden embrace.

It was so warm that it nearly brought her to tears.

“Wake up, my wife... The sun is lovely today. It's the perfect time for a walk.”

Drawn by that voice, she opened her eyes.
