[Blurb]

That was the first time Jiang Fei arrived in Liangcheng.

She got into Zhou Xie's car.

A battered van that was barely hanging on.

Amid the clamor of the sandstorm, the man could only make vague sounds like hoarse growls.

Oh, he was mute.

Jiang Fei gently covered her right ear and thought, What a coincidence. I can't hear clearly, and you can't speak clearly.

Later, on the night before they parted,

he quietly wrapped his arms around her from behind.

Jiang Fei felt his breath brush her right ear.

Ticklish, she giggled. "A Xie, I can't hear you, you know?"

Unable to reply, he rested his forehead against her neck and slowly traced a character on her back with his rough fingertips.

Miss.

I'll miss you.

Back then, they lived next door to each other. She was deaf, he was mute, and they had to watch each other's lips to communicate.

So the window between their houses was always open.
