Shen Zhou discovered that he was a cannon-fodder character in the novel A Sword Seals the Immortal, destined to be killed with a single sword strike by the protagonist, who would ascend from the lower realm all the way to the immortal realm.
How could Shen Zhou just sit around and wait to die? He sent a clone to the lower realm, planning to kill the protagonist while he was still weak, cutting him down with one sword.
He had simply underestimated the protagonist's halo.
Jun Jianshui:
His peaceful life as a sword cultivator was suddenly disrupted one day when a good-looking stranger, for no apparent reason, started hunting him down. Jun Jianshui survived by the skin of his teeth and grew stronger and stronger.
Later, he learned that the man's name was Yue Xia Shuang.
Yue Xia Shuang was like a shadow, appearing everywhere he went.
Every time, he came at Jun Jianshui full of murderous intent. He not only competed with him for opportunities and fortunes, but also scared off the many female cultivators who showed interest in him.
Later, Shen Zhou failed to kill Jun Jianshui and accidentally lost his clone's life. He returned to the celestial domain and devoted himself to cultivation, hoping only to avoid being cut down by the protagonist with a single sword.
But when they met again, Jun Jianshui abruptly pulled him into his arms and said in a trembling voice, "This time, I'll protect you."
