Jiang Bing is a jiangshi who has slept for a thousand years. After waking, he was adopted and raised by a corpse-driving practitioner. He studied hard for eighteen years and got into the computer science department at prestigious A University.

On the first day of term, he walked into the dormitory with a huge red, blue, and white woven-plastic bag slung over each shoulder, and ran straight into a "young master" roommate who was making a big show of ordering people to carry his luggage and make his bed.
