I'm Just an Ordinary Person in a Horror Game

Wang Haiyan was an utterly ordinary person.

Her name was ordinary, her family was ordinary, her looks were ordinary. Her life was just as ordinary as she was.

There were no melodramatic episodes of parents favoring an older brother, no tired old plot about a brother bullying his younger sister, no betrayal by a best friend, no scheming business partner, and no being abandoned by the world. Until the age of twenty-five, her life was uneventful and smooth sailing.

On her twenty-fifth birthday, ordinary Wang Haiyan became an ordinary player in an infinite game.

Her life remained ordinary.

In the first instance, she wasn't betrayed by her teammates. In a world besieged by evil spirits, she stood side by side with them.

In the second instance, she wasn't sabotaged by her opponents. In a world overrun by monsters, she fought her way out alongside them.

The third instance...

The fourth instance...

Even in the perilous world of the game, Wang Haiyan's life remained ordinary.

Other players experienced betrayals, schemes, friends and family turning against them, teammates selling them out, and opponents plotting against them at every turn. Wang Haiyan never experienced a life full of such dramatic twists and turns.

She was just an utterly ordinary person. A life full of upheavals and twists was never right for her.
