A sweet one-on-one romance
A laid-back, tiger-in-disguise top x a seemingly wicked beauty who is kind at heart
When Hua Heng groggily opened his eyes and saw the person asleep in his arms, he knew he was done for.
He scrambled out of bed, hastily threw on his clothes, and was just about to run when a sword came up from behind and rested against his neck.
"You've got some nerve, climbing into my bed."
The infamous, ruthless Demon Lord had a wonderful voice. He sounded good in bed and out of it. If there hadn't been a sword at his throat, Hua Heng might have thought so.
He gave an awkward laugh. He'd meant to drop to his knees and beg for mercy, but what came out was, "Not bad. Did I hurt you last night?"
He was unsurprisingly beaten up and locked in a prison cell. For some reason, the Demon Lord didn't kill him, but he wouldn't let him go either. Every few days, he'd "torture" him: force him to drink chili water, sprinkle him with itching powder, and make him eat deep-fried spiders...
How cruel!
Unable to stand even a little hardship, Hua Heng found a way to escape. He checked into an inn and slept blissfully. The next day, when he opened his eyes, he saw the Demon Lord sitting beside his bed, wearing that cold expression as he stared at him.
"What did you do to me?"
Hua Heng: ?
Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of the vivid patterns appearing and disappearing on the Demon Lord's wrist, and suddenly understood. His parents had told him their ancestors had an extremely diluted bloodline of succubi. Anyone who slept with someone from their clan would become addicted. He'd nearly forgotten.
He instantly straightened up. "If you want me, just say so. I'm not that stingy."
As expected, the Demon Lord flew into a rage and beat him up again. This time, though, he was straddling Hua Heng as he did it, trembling and panting. The sounds Hua Heng drew from him were just as lovely, and his face flushed with desire was just as alluring.
But the Demon Lord was cruel and heartless after all. Once he'd had his fun, he locked Hua Heng back in the cell and continued to torment him every few days, making him drink even spicier chili water, dusting him with even itchier powder, and forcing him to eat even uglier giant fried spiders.
Oh, and he had to attend to the Demon Lord at least once every three days.
The Demon Lord didn't like being on the bottom. He liked riding Hua Heng. If it hurt, he'd slap him; if it felt good, he'd slap him too. Hua Heng finally couldn't take it anymore and escaped again.
The second time, he'd learned his lesson. He changed his appearance and hid his tracks. The Demon Lord didn't come looking for him for a long time, and Hua Heng felt strangely bereft.
One day, while drinking tea at a teahouse, he overheard people discussing how the invincible Demon Lord had been executed on the spot by several great masters of the immortal path. They said it was a cause for celebration.
Smack! The teacup slipped from his hand and shattered on the floor.

Chu Qianxiu had never imagined he'd fall for a man in this lifetime. That bastard was crude and overbearing, always spouting dirty jokes, and after getting what he wanted, he'd simply pull up his pants and run. His face was thicker than a city wall. Chu Qianxiu would dismember him sooner or later.
But before he could take revenge, he was ambushed and surrounded. With his life hanging by a thread, he drifted in and out of consciousness as someone gathered him up and held him close to heal his wounds.
The newcomer's familiar presence infuriated him. The moment he spoke, Chu Qianxiu's anger flared. "Well, well, you look pretty miserable. They say one day as husband and wife earns a hundred days of gratitude. I'm not as cruel and heartless as you."
Chu Qianxiu's hands itched to hit him again, but the other man intercepted his attack first. "What's got you so worked up? Such a bad temper, and so many rules."
"..."
"And you always wear that sour expression." Still as carefree as ever, the man wrapped his arms around him with a grin. "Oh, well. I don't mind."
