The Emperor Regretted It After She Died

I was the empress, but the emperor loved my elder half-sister.

I took a blade for him, risked my life at his side time and again, and was left covered in wounds, but none of it could compare to my elder half-sister.

He hated me for failing to save her and causing her death. He despised me.

He let my elder half-sister’s lookalike kill my child, then made me kneel in the snow until both my legs were ruined.

He said it was the punishment I deserved.

I thought he truly hated me with all his heart.

But after I died, he held my corpse and refused to eat or drink for three days and nights.

They all said the emperor had gone mad.
