A Little Courtyard Deep in the Mountains

[Blurb]

Lin Pan, a 007 office worker who pulls all-nighters and works overtime for a meager salary, gets ostracized by her colleagues and pushed around by her superiors. At last, she can't take it anymore and calls her parents to cry about it. In the video, her white-haired father listens quietly, then points to the mountains behind him and says, "Come home. Dad has bought an entire mountain. Come back and plant trees with me."

Lin Pan packs her things and heads into the mountains. She starts livestreaming and becomes a huge online sensation, though there's always something a little off about the atmosphere in her streams.

[Streamer! What are you chatting about? Hurry and save your eggs, that snake is back to steal them.]

[Streamer! Watch where you're stepping. One step there and you'll be in serious trouble.]

[Streamer! You're still streaming? Hurry home, a wild boar has ransacked your place!]

And then there's...

The young professor, handsome as a painting and cool in temperament, who is devoted to researching wild plants and animals, and who keeps fainting from hunger in front of the little courtyard at her house.

Lin Pan: ...

Oh well. I've already raised chickens, rabbits, snakes, and wild boars. One more person won't make a difference.
