Synopsis
Xiao Wan was an illegitimate daughter, and her looks seemed to be her greatest bargaining chip. Yet when Prince Liang proposed marriage, she was entirely unwilling.
It wasn't because of any noble principles, like preferring to be a poor man's wife rather than a rich man's concubine. A poor man's wife would be terribly impoverished, and money was far more practical. Xiao Wan was not a woman of principle.
It was because Liang Jiuqing and his wife loved each other and trusted each other completely. There was no reason for her to come between them.
Back then, Xiao Wan wondered: Were all men in this world so unfaithful? What would happen to Princess Liang?
On the day she married into the household, Xiao Wan entered through a side gate and never saw Liang Jiuqing.
She did not love Prince Liang then. She simply felt that the Prince's manor suited her: there was the kind and gentle Princess Liang, as well as plenty of beautiful clothes and hairpins.
In Southern Yan, there are seven young masters, each more handsome than the last.
But in the end, Xiao Wan still fell in love with him.

Later, the Prince's manor was confiscated. The princess killed herself, and Liang Jiuqing died too.
The last words Liang Jiuqing spoke before his death were: "Wanwan, forget me. Live well."
Xiao Wan held his corpse and wept until her eyes were bloodshot. She looked at the man seated high above her in yellow robes, consumed by hatred.
The emperor wanted Xiao Wan to marry him.
But Xiao Wan wanted only to kill him.

Note: This is a short story I wrote a long time ago after making a bet with a friend. It has a tragic ending. The heroine is not actually a concubine.
Prince Liang and Liang Jiuqing are two different people.

Theme: Embrace a positive attitude toward life
It's really good-looking, just tens of thousands of words long, and I cried so hard that my nose ran out of tears. This is a story about a heroine, after all, everyone else is dead too orz
