The Cannon Fodder Villainess Doesn't Know Her Place, So the Empress Dowager Wants to Talk Romance

[Yuri] [Alternate Dynasty] [Not Each Other's First] [Sweet Romance]

Liu Xichen died, then came back to life, reborn as the legitimate daughter of a general's household in an alternate dynasty torn by war. She learned martial arts as a child, and when she grew up, disguised herself as a man and joined the army, earning countless honors. But when she returned to the capital in triumph, nearly everyone there already knew she had been pretending to be a man. Faced with relentless pressure from officials, both civil and military, she had no choice but to smash her head against a pillar in a desperate attempt to protect the general's household. Yet that blow didn't kill her. After a twist of fate, she ended up as a spy planted by the puppet emperor beside the Empress Dowager, Ning Qingyan.

The young emperor: Work hard, Minister Liu, and I'll give you a promotion and a raise someday.

Liu Xichen: Hah. Your Majesty can just burn me some paper money when the time comes.

But secrets can't stay hidden forever. The Empress Dowager caught Liu Xichen red-handed after setting a trap for her.

Ning Qingyan: Guard Liu, are you the person the emperor planted at my side?

Liu Xichen: Spare me, Your Highness! His Majesty forced me into it!

Ning Qingyan: Then, by extension, Guard Liu belongs to me too, doesn't she?

Liu Xichen: Yes! Whatever Your Highness says... Wait, something doesn't sound right.

Ning Qingyan: It doesn't matter. Just remember, from now on, I must be the only one in your eyes. Understood?

Liu Xichen (obediently): Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

Years later...

The young emperor: I was blind back then! Liu Xichen, give me my mother back! Mother, what am I supposed to do with all these memorials without you? I'm still a child!

Liu Xichen: Thank you, Your Majesty, for giving me and A Yan a chance back then. But A Yan promised to roam the martial world with me, so I'm afraid she can't come back.

Ning Qingyan: Your Majesty, take good care of your health. Farewell.

Liu Xichen: A Yan, let's go. Bye-bye, Your Majesty!

The young emperor: Liu Xichen, you're the worst!
