Yu Ting, trapped in a desperate situation, finally meets the mastermind. He claims to be an immortal and tries to lure Yu Ting into becoming a sacrifice to help him ascend.

Shrines to this false god have been erected everywhere. He feeds on an endless stream of incense and claims that he will soon become an immortal deity.

Yu Ting looks up at the towering, compassionate statue and suddenly has a bold idea: If someone so utterly shameless can become an immortal, why can't I take his place?

Better to benefit yourself than someone else.
