In a post-apocalyptic wasteland, faith is faint and nowhere to be found, civilization has long since vanished, and staying alive has become the greatest wish of all.
Human territories are dwindling, mutated plants and animals run rampant, and dangerous rule-based dungeons are everywhere. Everyone is lost and afraid, with the blade of extinction hanging over their heads.
Until...
A rundown territory, a zombie disaster, and a mysterious woman appears outside its walls. With a horde of zombies between them, she stares at Song Yuanxuan with a gaze so intense it seems tangible. Then she pulls out a piece of paper.
"Hey there! No 998, no 98. Just learn this poem, and you'll get to experience 'laughter as the enemy's ships burn to ash.'"
"Congratulations! You're about to experience Zhou Yu's triumphant spirit as he defeats Cao Cao's army! A mere ten thousand zombies? Nothing to worry about!"
The mysterious woman, Yue Shengge, gazes at her territory, located at the very center of a ring of rule-based dungeons.
Over there, another reckless D-rank dungeon approaches, hoping to devour the territory bound to her life. But just as it touches her territory,
Golden light fills the sky, and a giant ink painting unfurls. A thousand ships launch a volley of arrows.
Within the painting, Zhou Yu smiles and waves his fan. With a flick of his finger, the D-rank dungeon goes up in flames!
Literally catches fire.
Then a C-rank dungeon sneaks over from this side. Golden light fills the territory again, a fire dragon roasts the dungeon, and a golden wind scatters it into specks of ash until not a trace remains.
She falls into deep thought.
From then on, a mysterious legend spreads among territories large and small: a merchant from the territory known as Five Thousand Years of Chinese History carries mysterious golden sheets of poetry. Anyone she chooses can pour their heart into reciting the verses with her and gain the power of divine miracles.
Years later, humanity has grown stronger. Powerful territories unite to open a route through dungeons ranked from D to S, heading toward the ruins of human civilization. They expect the place to have long since been occupied by evil gods and to be full of danger. Instead, a magnificent City of the Century, so bright it could blind you, appears before them.
A familiar voice rings out from within the city.
"Welcome, everyone, to the territory [Five Thousand Years of Chinese History]."
Everyone: ...?!?!?!!!
