Sandalwood Pillow

The first time Xue Ying saw Xie Weian, she knew he was the man her elder sister loved.

When she learned that he had an eye condition and was recuperating at a separate residence, Xue Ying used praying for blessings as an excuse to return to her hometown for a fortnight.

That night, Xue Ying climbed over the wall and broke into the room of her future brother-in-law.

The room was dark. Gritting her teeth, Xue Ying slipped off her clothes and, as she had wished, spent the night in a stranger's bed.

By day, she had to cover her eyes with a veil. At night, a man's hand clamped around her ankle, and the Buddhist beads on her wrist clashed together, ringing through the night without pause.

Half a month later, Xue Ying returned to the Xue family and saw her elder sister and Xie Weian.

Xue Ying raised her sleeve slightly, revealing red marks on her arm. Before she could step forward and separate the couple, someone dragged her into a dimly lit nunnery.

Xie Lang caressed the young woman's slender, soft waist, his eyes holding a possessiveness that sent a chill through her.

"Yingying, let your Buddha see clearly: the man who shared your bed is Xie Lang, not Xie Weian."

Everyone said the heir to the Prince of Qin was a man of flawless virtue. No one knew how badly he wanted to tear away the thin veil covering his eyes when Xue Ying sobbed and called out Xie Weian's name.

He wanted her to see who he really was.
