As the sole heir to the Jian family, Jian Yingzhi is spoiled and domineering. Yet whenever he's with Shen Ming, he turns into the clingy one. Shen Ming is much older than him, a big brother he had a crush on for three years before finally winning him over.

For this man, he gave up his friends and fell out with the mother who loved him most. Shen Ming would always take the calm, worldly tone of an older man and tell him, "I'm more mature than you. I can't let everyone despise you."

Jian Yingzhi thought this was love, the protection of someone older.

But on the day his mother died, Shen Ming's joke made him miss his final chance to see her.

Only then did he realize: this wasn't love. It was manipulation and mockery, made possible by the certainty that he could get away with it.

That day, Jian Yingzhi brought in a demolition crew and tore down the mansion he'd given Shen Ming. He smashed the rows of luxury cars he'd gifted him, too. He wanted to see what this so-called older man would have left once he lost Jian Yingzhi's financial support.

He watched the man give a scornful laugh.

"I can give you something, and I can destroy it with my own hands."

Shen Ming sneered at him. He thought Jian Yingzhi was still the lovesick fool who came whenever he called and left whenever he dismissed him. It wasn't until one day, when he saw the news of Jian Yingzhi crashing a wedding for love, that he realized he truly didn't love him anymore.

The young master mistook Yan Jing's globally limited-edition car for a scumbag's and smashed it. Yan Jing had every right to demand compensation. He never expected Jian Yingzhi to trace a fingertip over his chest, leaving a teasing tingle, and tell him:

"I can't replace the car, but I can make it up to you another way."

He tilted his head and smiled at him without saying a word. He watched Jian Yingzhi's playful expression turn impatient. Just as Jian Yingzhi put his watch back on and turned to leave, Yan Jing swept him up in his arms. He knew that where he couldn't see, the young master was grinning at having gotten his way.
