[A far-fetched infinite-flow story]
The number of ghosts in the underworld grows every year, and the food delivery business is booming.
Chi Qi is a dedicated ghost-reaper deliveryman who works all year round, braving wind and rain on every delivery.
Thanks to his considerate, attentive service, he's made a name for himself in the underworld and earned the title of Gold Medal Deliveryman.
Soup Granny: "What a fine young man. I was in a hurry to get ghosts for my soup, and he brought them over in just a few minutes."
The evil ghosts who got caught along the way: "…"
Hanged Ghost: "*&%&%"
Chi Qi: "Of course. Your order comes with specially prepared hot wax oil. Drink it while it's hot."
The Hanged Ghost blushed and made a heart shape with its tongue.
The famous Miss Mary: "I was taking a tomato bath in my castle when Xiao Chi climbed all the way from the first floor to the third to deliver my food. He's so dedicated!"
Chi Qi, who had crossed mountains and rivers to reach the underworld of another country, gave a professional smile. "Underworld delivery. We always deliver."
At some point, the world began to grow strange.
Lu Mo was dragged into the world of death again and again. The aloof man acquired the gift of being able to talk ghosts into submission, and escaped danger several times through his silver tongue.
Then he met a ghost in a black trench coat, and things got strange.
Soup-Cooking Woman: "Don't let me catch you! I'll put every one of you in my soup!"
After the man in the black trench coat arrived: "*&%&%."
The Soup-Cooking Woman took the delivery, then turned and waved at them. "Why are you still here? Get lost!"
The survivors: "…"
Hanged Ghost: "&%*%#." Its grotesque tongue whipped through the air.
After the man in the black trench coat arrived: "*&%&%."
The Hanged Ghost turned around, flicked its long tongue, and tossed them out of the inner world.
"…"
Even Miss Mary, whose encounters have a high fatality rate, was delighted to see the man in the black trench coat outside her window and flushed them down from the bottom of the toilet.
The survivors, drenched in blood: "…?"
From then on, the survivors honored the man in the black trench coat as the "Lord of Light," meaning a beacon of light in the darkness.
So, during one world of death, everyone watched as the usually aloof Lu Mo walked up to the Lord of Light.
Lu Mo: "Elegance is your middle name, and handsome is your adjective. I am utterly enchanted by you."
Chi Qi: "Applying for the delivery job? You have a way with words. You're hired."
Lu Mo: "…"
--Content warnings--
I personally don't think any of these are dealbreakers, but for everyone's peace of mind, here's a list:
Chi Qi is the shou, and Lu Mo is the gong (this won't change).
Although Lu Mo is a domineering CEO, he is absolutely not cold or aloof. He's not a white lotus, but he won't abandon anyone he can save (if they can't be saved, then so be it).
Chi Qi is assertive and cold-hearted (very gong-like, but he really is the shou).
There are some dual POV chapters early on, but the POV will settle into one later. The POV is unclear at first (note: there are more chapters from the gong's POV).
My ability is limited, and romance is my weak point. It's completely clean and chaste, with a Platonic focus (maybe?).
Finally, if this story knocks you for a loop, don't curse me out. Curse out the protagonists. They're the ones who did all this! If that doesn't help, just click the little X and leave!
