Emphasis: The baby mix-up is a misunderstanding.
(Everyone knows why you keep dreaming about someone during puberty.)
Jiang Yining is sensitive and imaginative.
That's a good thing.
And a bad thing.
For instance, after having a dream typical of puberty, he doesn't realize that he's fallen for this person.
Instead, he thinks it's a sign from the heavens, hinting that the two of them were accidentally switched at birth.
He plucks up the courage to ask the person from his dream for their contact information.
And chalks up all the bashfulness and racing heart he feels when they're alone to guilt.
He decides to be very, very kind to Xu Nanyou and become his best friend. Then he can get a strand of his hair for a DNA test. Once everything is settled, he'll tell everyone the truth.
Xu Nanyou has been hit on before.
But this is Jiang Yining.
The Jiang Yining he likes.
On the very first day they officially meet, Xu Nanyou starts wondering:
Would Jiang Yining mind if he used his tongue when they kissed?
[Bonus Scene]
Jiang Yining is buying oden at a convenience store with a friend when Xu Nanyou catches them in the act.
The next day, furious and acting as if he'd been cheated on, Xu Nanyou corners him in the stairwell.
He grits his teeth and demands, "How could you be so intimate with someone else?"
Then, sounding terribly aggrieved, he says, "You didn't comfort me yesterday. Are you going to ignore me forever now?"
After learning the truth, Xu Nanyou pins him to the foot of the bed and licks him all over, whispering soothingly, "It's okay, sweetheart. Let's kiss a little longer. Just kiss me a little longer, and I'll forgive you."
