Twin Mirrors: A Modern Version, A Glimmer of Light

A modern version of Double Mirror

The story of Xu Youyi and Yan Wei in the present day

Young university lecturer x professional boxer

The greatest distance in the world

Is the distance between a fish and a bird.

One soars through the sky,

While the other dives deep beneath the sea.

- Cheng Dongwu, "Bird and Fish"

Xu Youyi is a young university lecturer who has returned from studying in Europe. Her life has gone smoothly, and her future looks bright. But only she knows this isn't the life she wants.

Yan Wei is a young professional boxer who has been in the sport for two years. Defeated by the boxing world's complicated, unspoken rules, she is frustrated and unfulfilled, yet still holds on to her dream, working hard in silence with unwavering determination.

One is a kind, gentle "good girl," the other a lonely, stubborn "bad girl." They are like a bird and a fish.

Their lives have nothing to do with each other. They are complete opposites, moving along parallel lines that should never cross. Yet fate brings them together when they are both swept into a series of bizarre serial murders.

Various forces are intertwined, conspiracies lurk beneath the glittering surface, and the truth behind the cases is shrouded in mystery.

Emotion and reason, ideals and reality collide like sparks, setting off a remarkable chain reaction.

They reach for each other and find salvation together. At last, their lonely hearts draw close, because they are each other's light: small, perhaps, but bright enough to illuminate their whole lives.
