I’m a 16-year-old boy in my second year at Tokyo Metropolitan Naito High School, and I live at 5 Matsukami, Setagaya Ward. I consider myself pretty excellent in most respects, even if my personality isn’t the best. So when I confessed to the person I’d fallen in love with at first sight, I was still fantasizing about him crying prettily and throwing himself into my arms, and the two of us living happily ever after. But this strange young man named Ren Amamiya, better known as Joker, just looked calm and said, “Sorry, I don’t like men.” At that moment, my heart shattered. It wasn’t until after that that I realized the person I’d imagined was completely different from the person he really was: “Those black-framed glasses make him look so cute. Why is he actually not nearsighted at all, and always wearing such a fierce expression?” “He apologizes so quietly when he bumps into someone. Why does he brazenly rob people at knifepoint in the Metaverse?” “He barely talks in everyday life and seems so innocent. But that’s no reason to steal my heart, Joker! Pretty much what it says on the tin. The protagonist doesn’t have a Persona at first, but starts with maxed-out social stats. There’ll be the fun stuff everyone loves, like being reformed and dying of embarrassment in a Palace. One-on-one romance, with a Joker who’s working himself to death. Since it’s an unrequited crush and the guy is extremely proactive, there’s a good chance the original story will be rewritten in a ridiculous way.
