[Devoted, restrained CEO of a publicly listed fruit chain x Brave, straightforward streamer who flirts without realizing it]
* They aren't biological brothers and aren't on the same household register.
When Yi Chen was ten, his mother died in an accident. His older brother, Fu Langxing, gave up the chance to go to college and took him out of the mountains. The brothers worked as porters at the provincial capital's wholesale fruit market, struggling to make ends meet.
By chance, Fu Langxing began learning the wholesale fruit trade from the market's Song Jianbai and his wife. With his sharp mind and sincere attitude, the business grew bigger and bigger. After accumulating his initial capital, Fu Langxing set his sights on a new sales model born from the internet boom.
During a routine livestream at the flagship store, Yi Chen went in to help. He accidentally appeared on camera, and someone with an agenda posted the footage online. Overnight, "the fruit shop's handsomest young worker" went viral across the internet...
*
For the first half of his life, Fu Langxing's goal was simple: save up money for Yi Chen, so that one day he could find a wife and live happily ever after.
But when Yi Chen really came of age, Fu Langxing found it harder and harder to let go. How could he hand over the treasure he'd watched grow up to someone else?!
So he opposed Yi Chen joining the entertainment industry or becoming a streamer. Every chance for him to appear in public was snuffed out as soon as it showed signs of emerging.
Because Fu Langxing knew that once his treasure was seen by the public, he wouldn't be able to keep him hidden.
[Bonus Scene]
A gossip account exposed a recently popular livestreamer who promoted agricultural products, claiming he had slept his way into the bed of the sponsor, a major shareholder in a publicly listed chain. With the sponsor backing him and throwing his weight around, the streamer supposedly monopolized most of the opportunities.
Unexpectedly, the streamer in question hit back head-on, posting a childhood photo of himself with his sponsor and adding the caption: We grew up together. Don't even try to claim otherwise.
The internet erupted with gossip.
That night, in bed, Fu Langxing whispered in Yi Chen's ear: I heard you used all sorts of tricks to get into my bed. Let me see what tricks you've got.
* This is a slow burn. The beginning mainly follows the older brother's rise to success. After all, he's got such a big treasure to raise.
* The two leads are more than just who they are now. Later on, both will find their families.
