You probably won't believe me, but I've lost my memory. I was reincarnated into this world and lost my memory. I had a transparent shop interface with hundreds of millions of points, and I lost my memory!
Based on a few subtle clues lingering in my subconscious, I can just about tell that I somehow ended up in this world, but I can't remember anything from before, including how I lost my memory.
But since I'm here, I might as well make the best of it. I'm pretty interested in this transparent shop interface, so I decided to give it a try. Carefully, I bought a piece of candy for five points. It went smoothly, without the slightest hiccup. By the time I realized what had happened, the candy was already in my hand. Just as I was about to see what made it special, an adult's voice came from beside me. "Darling, look! The baby seems to be holding something."
"She's so little and already knows how to hold things. That's my daughter!"
"Small objects aren't safe. We should take it away from her." Someone reached for the thing in my hand.
"!!!" How could they? I hadn't even looked at it yet! Some instinct I couldn't explain made me pop the candy into my mouth.
After a huge commotion, I pouted sadly over losing my candy. It was pretty sweet, though...
When I was a little older, I quickly became the boss of the neighborhood kids. Then I decided to retire from the world of childish rivalry and live a lazy life. But trouble still came my way from time to time. For instance, not long afterward, I found Curly-Hair No. 1 in an alley: a boy who looked adorably fierce but was actually very sensitive.
A while later, in the very same alley, I found Smiley-Eyes No. 2, a child who had the manners of a gentleman from a young age but was secretly a little devil.
Much later, the three of us chose different careers. The two of them went to police academy, while I went into medicine, just as we'd promised beneath the fireworks all those years ago, when we were young and reckless.
I visited them at the police academy, too. As they tried, more or less deliberately, to hide things from me, I met Golden-Haired, Dark-Skinned No. 3, Cat-Eyed, Black-Haired No. 4, and Warmhearted Big Brother No. 5. No wonder they're handsome; all their friends are handsome too. I swallowed my drool and calmly handed them my business card, complete with the address of my private clinic.
Who doesn't like handsome men? If you don't, then they just aren't handsome enough!
The clinic was in such a remote location that I was seriously considering taking on a side job when it finally got its first customer: Silver-Haired "Beauty" No. 6, dressed all in black. The beauty did have a bit of a temper, but he paid generously, so that little flaw was easy enough to overlook... I just couldn't figure out why he looked familiar. Where had I seen him before? There was no way I'd forget someone that gorgeous after meeting him.
Then, years later, I saw a certain grade-schooler going to a crime scene with his childhood friend...
Oh! Now I remember!
How do I deal with the fact that this world makes no sense?!
