This Book's Blurb
Yue Zhaozhao transmigrates into a cultivation novel as a cannon-fodder character.
According to the plot, her own master will dig out her core while she's still alive, then give it to the beloved heroine, who has a damaged spiritual root.
She flees in the middle of the night and finds a gravely wounded, stunning woman along the way.
The woman is covered in wounds, her cultivation completely destroyed. Though she's already at death's door, her beautiful eyes remain sharp, and she warily keeps Yue Zhaozhao at a distance, like a drawn sword.
Yue Zhaozhao takes pity on her and reaches out.
She wipes the blood away, bandages her wounds, treats her injuries, and applies medicine, never growing impatient.
The woman remains cold and cruel. But at some point, the ice in her eyes begins to melt, and she even smiles at Yue Zhaozhao from time to time.
Until one day, the plot suddenly catches up with them.
After faking her death, Yue Zhaozhao is doing fine in every way except that she's poor.
She hears that the young, beautiful, wealthy Demon Venerable has put up a reward for finding someone who looks like the person in a portrait to serve as her maid, with a generous monthly salary. Yue Zhaozhao squeezes in to take a look and finds that the person in the portrait looks very much like her.
She goes to see the Demon Venerable and comes face to face with a pair of familiar eyes.
The other woman's eyes are bloodshot. Her voice is as haughty as ever, but the hand gripping Yue Zhaozhao's throat is trembling slightly.
"So you finally decided to come back, hmm?"
*
Yu Ning was born cold-hearted and never knew what feelings were.
She grew up in filth and suffered countless betrayals and hardships. The one thing she was always certain of was that she should never trust anyone.
Until she met Yue Zhaozhao.
She would never forget how that gentle, sunny girl always smiled as she rescued her from her downward spiral, loved and protected her, and gave her peace of mind.
The day Yue Zhaozhao died, Yu Ning knelt at the foot of Mizhi Mountain, holding her body as bloody tears fell one by one. By morning, she had become a demon.
Content warning: My take on cultivation, with lots of original worldbuilding. I will sacrifice the internal logic of some worldbuilding for the sake of the plot. I don't accept writing advice, and you don't need to tell me if you drop the novel.
Upcoming Novel Blurb
Ming Yu transmigrates into a xianxia novel as the villain.
In the original book, she's the heroine Xie Lengyan's master. She dotes on her, treating her with tenderness and affection, and the heroine falls deeply in love with her as a result.
No one knows she does it because the heroine looks like her deceased first love.
One day, her first love returns from the dead and asks her to kill the heroine to prove her true feelings. She readily agrees.
Of course, in the end, it isn't the heroine who dies. It's her.
The heroine, having turned evil, locks her in prison and pierces her pipa bones with hooks. She bleeds for half a month before dying.
Ming Yu: ...What a melodramatic plot.
Looking at the beautiful heroine kneeling at her feet and massaging her legs, Ming Yu thinks she should do this sort of thing less often in the future, to avoid misunderstandings.
From then on, she puts on the airs of a master, quiet and aloof, keeping her emotions in check. When the heroine massages her legs, she says no need. When the heroine brings her food, she says it's unnecessary. Even when she teaches her swordsmanship, she never allows the slightest physical contact.
She thinks this will let her escape the plot.
Who would have thought that on the day her first love returns, the heroine would rush into her room through the pouring rain, soaked to the skin and staring at her with obsessive intensity. She holds out a sword and asks in a trembling voice, "Master, why haven't you done it yet?"
*Xie Lengyan has been reborn. Only after suffering unbearable heartbreak does she understand that the so-called love was all an illusion. She was nothing but someone's substitute.
Back in the past, she watches coldly, waiting for the other woman to put on her act.
But unexpectedly, the master who should have doted on and protected her, and cared for her deeply, has changed. She only avoids her and draws a clear line between them.
Xie Lengyan doesn't understand.
She clenches her fingers. Amid her boundless hatred, a trace of unwillingness suddenly surfaces.
Even just once, Master, look at me again.
Theme: The ones who walk hand in hand to the very end are true companions.
It feels like it's unfinished. The main character has not grown up at all. He's just sitting on the spoiler's laurels and seems to have no brain. He's been indecisive for so long. I just killed Lin earlier and ended it. In the latter part, when the few people died, I didn't feel touching. I just felt speechless. I felt that I didn't know how to write it but had to write it with twists and turns. In the end, I didn't know how to get it right and then read the file and restart it. The key is that the logic of reading the file is wrong. If it is really The problem is solved at the beginning, how did the protagonist meet, and it is called a blank if it is logically smooth. This kind of thing gives people a perfunctory feeling of "I don't know how to explain it, it just ends like this, I will make up my own mind." I really should read the comments section before reading the article next time.
I never expected that reading a novel about cultivating immortals could be so frustrating. The protagonist really didn't make any progress at all, and he won't have a long memory after suffering losses. In the end, he could only rely on cheating to make a comeback. It's not that a kind-hearted protagonist is bad, but being kind-hearted and soft-hearted is really bad. It is said that he relies on his brains to conquer the world, but in the end he loses his wits at the critical moment. If you know Lin's character so well, would you not expect that she would kill everyone? Are you really stupid enough to let it go? It makes me so angry that I have to have to face separation like this! Poor me, Xiaoyu, died so grievously. I never expected that I could be killed by a boy with one blow...
I can only say that I was so frustrated watching this journey that I really wanted to give up on the article, but I couldn't bear to spend the money on the first few chapters. As a result, I was frustrated until the finale, and the fucking sweets are only available in the extra chapters!
There are still a lot of shortcomings. I thought that if I endured it, the ending would be good and I would get some sugar. But if I had to endure it until the end, there would still be no sugar. Also, it was so difficult to deal with Lin at first because he had the protagonist's aura. Later, he said that he could just go to his childhood and remove it. Oh, why did the protagonist's aura suddenly disappear? Then why wouldn't the world collapse?
Sometimes I feel that Yue Zhaozhao is a little successful and more than a failure. . . . . .
Is Lu Ming really going to die? Woooooooooooooo.
It's so frustrating, and why the finale didn't reveal the sweetness of the main CP? I'm really going to be pissed to death.
This plot is too casual. The Demon King was approached and stabbed by a servant at random?
It's a perfect ending, right? However, Lin Wanyin makes me a little bit confused. Thank you, author.
If Yue Zhaozhao had been more assertive, he wouldn't have made things so complicated and turned Yu Ning into an indecisive person. Alas
