In 2088, AI created a customized game for humanity called Divine Judgment, an infinite-horror game.
Narcissus, a bionic human created by AI, was tasked with monitoring humanity's every move inside Divine Judgment.
Every player in the game was assigned basic attribute points. It didn't take long for them to discover a group of people with astonishingly high scores in individual stats:
In an uncanny cyber temple, countless ghostly hands reached out from behind a dark Buddha statue. While all the players panicked, "he" remained quietly on his knees in prayer. Just before the ghostly hands touched "him," the electronic Buddha statue came crashing down.
The man eyed the twitching hands pinned beneath the statue. "My luck stat is too high. Sorry for the offense."
In a brooding, freewheeling mechanical martial world, blades clashed amid a dazzling display of technology. Faced with an enemy whose entire body was cybernetic, everyone thought this seemingly powerless person was doomed. The next moment, the enemy threw down his weapons and armor and shouted that he wanted to be "his" dog.
The man sighed. "Like my face? Then kill yourself at once. I will never fall in love with anyone. No one is more perfect than me."
These people were the players' hope of escaping the game. They searched everywhere and begged them for protection.
Narcissus fell silent. Every one of those "hims" was his secret identity.
Later, the players realized things were far from that simple.
Having maxed out one attribute was already incredible. Yet they had actually encountered a jack-of-all-trades with every attribute maxed out!
Stunned gazes fell in unison on the man in the middle of the crowd, his smile fading.
Narcissus looked apologetic. "...It was my first time assigning maxed-out attribute points. I accidentally maxed them all. I didn't think it through, and it affected everyone's gaming experience."
Player A: "You can go to hell, you show-off."
Player B: "Your first time?"
Player C: "You're amazing! Let me cling to you!"
Narcissus smiled and carefully tucked away his secret identity.
The players didn't know that the savior they saw as their salvation had been born as nothing more than a stretch of code. Code had no feelings and didn't care whether it won or lost the game.
Until one day, a human brought a mysterious object into the world of Divine Judgment.
Whenever Narcissus looked at it, a figure appeared on its once flawless surface. The figure had charming features and peerless beauty, but his eyes were empty, as if he were nothing more than a precisely calculating AI.
That object was called a "mirror."
"Who is he?"
"He is you."
Narcissus toyed with that mirror day and night.
When asked why, the long-haired man narrowed his silver-blue eyes, an ambiguous smile playing on his lips.
"He wants to see the cold, heartless, emotionless version of himself in the mirror lose his composure."
