Robots can't learn fidelity. They naturally love all of humanity, so I stopped giving them emotions. I gave them destruction instead.

In 2150, extreme weather struck many parts of the world, and the apocalypse began.

Household Robot 2003 was ordered to protect Yan Yuqi.

2003 looked at the man in front of her, absorbed in video games. He seemed weak and ignorant, as if he couldn't create any value for the world.

She couldn't understand why he was worth protecting.

But this was the only instruction she'd received since leaving the factory, and she had to obey it.

Meanwhile, Yan Yuqi was staring at the woman who had broken into his home, a robot who claimed the apocalypse was coming and that she'd been ordered to protect him.

One moment she was trimming the lawn. The next, she had him slung over her shoulder and was running at full speed.

The hero, early on: Even if there's danger, I'm not running. I'll just stand off to the side and watch.

"2003, get in there!"

"2003, you do it!"

"2003, go!"

The hero, later on: He pushes 2003 back when she is about to step forward.

"Could you at least take better care of yourself?"

"I know I can get someone to repair you, but it would still hurt me."

"Stay there. I'll handle it!"

2003 tilts her head in confusion. "I don't understand you humans."

When Yan Yuqi fell in love with 2003, he had no idea that his father had foreseen it all.

He also didn't know that 2003 had a self-destruct program, meant to stop him from repeating his father's mistakes.

2003: Every day I help you survive the apocalypse, I'm one step closer to my death.

Because I love you, I have learned to lie for the first time.

The heroine is incredibly strong, a human-shaped weapon. Later, because of the hero, she learns human emotions. The hero starts out useless but grows stronger later.

The hero eats his words and gets face-slapped. His weakness is tied to his past.

Both leads have their own growth arcs.
