I Adopted the Four Protagonists

No one knows that an author capable of writing such books is a cool and aloof person. Countless admirers long to become characters in their stories, if only to live beneath those snow-white fingertips.

Yet this much-admired author only wants to finish a fourth book, retire from writing, and return to their hometown to raise a little pet and live out their days in peace.

That plan changed halfway through the fourth book, when they suddenly began hearing the thoughts of the neighbor's cat they were temporarily looking after.

"Aaaah, it's hubby! Hiss, hiss! I really want to watch hubby take a bath!" The dog pawed at the bathroom glass door.

Yu Buqing: "..." No need to guess. This was the protagonist of their second novel.

Then one day, a friend went away on a business trip and gave them a "fish" that was actually a dragon to keep in a fish tank. Then they heard...

"Master, Master..." Oh, the protagonist of their third novel.

Yu Buqing's eyelid twitched. They glanced at the half-finished fourth book, then one day found a turtle on their doorstep.

"Senior Uncle, Senior Uncle..." Okay, now the protagonist of the fourth book had joined the group, too.

From then on, their home was a complete madhouse. No, more like dragons flying and turtles crawling, cats beating up dogs and dogs getting hammered.

Yu Buqing... was exhausted.

1. The top is not sexually chaste, but the bottom is completely chaste!

The worlds of the cat and dog novels merge with the top's real world. The cat, dog, and turtle all have identities, but the dragon is undocumented.

2. The bottom is split into separate incarnations, and they don't merge. Expect a massive rivalry for affection.

Note: The animals spend more time competing for affection in their animal forms. The top has a hidden identity.
