The Smiling, Proud Wanderer: Between Us, a Stream of Water

I'm no good at writing blurbs, so here's the simple version: Ren Yingying is reborn (note: reborn, not transmigrated). When I watched The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, I felt that Linghu Chong didn't love Ren Yingying as deeply as she loved him. So in this story, I want to give her a one-of-a-kind love. The pairing stays the same: Linghu Chong, and he absolutely won't be fickle! A few things to know before reading: 1. This story is based on the original, and there will definitely be major changes to the plot (otherwise it wouldn't be fanfiction). I'll try to keep the characters as close to the original as possible, but there will certainly be original characters. 2. This is fanfiction based on The Smiling, Proud Wanderer. Please don't use the films, TV adaptations, or other fanfiction as the original when criticizing it. 3. They say The Smiling, Proud Wanderer is a political novel, so there'll be plenty of schemes and conflicts. 4. The heroine isn't a saint. She's calculating, treats her family and lover exceptionally well, and is absolutely ruthless toward her enemies. I'm reliable about updating and will never abandon this story.
